You need an adjustable rising rate FMU like the Cartech Units and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator like the AEM units that replaces your stock regulator. The stock regulator is too restrictive and will not allow you to adjust fuel pressures low enough for a good idle with larger injectors.
There are other ways around getting a replacement fuel pressure regulator, but I don't recommend them.
You can also use larger fuel lines and larger hose barbs on your JR FMU to achieve a lower rise rate. But dont do this unless you know what you are doing...

Yup, and so goes the woes of the JRSC owner.
Theoretically you should do these sorts of upgrades for turbo applications, but few tend to do them when going to 8-9psi. What
they have that we don't is an easy to install boost controller. We do have a boost controller, but it is not exactly fun to install, however it is quite amazing and I wish I had the balls to finish the install on it, but I say "Don't fix it, if it aint broke."
What you could do is wait a few months and see what this new device from ZIP is all about and let others be the gunniea pigs before you. This will enable you to save a few hundred dollars at the least.
But of course who knows. I also wouldn't recommend using Jim's pulley with stock injectors. But you can get away with it by getting the HIGH pressure walbro pump and knocking back your base timing substantially(to around 8BTDC or so). The 9psi pulley ought to put you in the high 90's or low 100's as far as fuel pressure goes.
I myself have a full 9psi setup I might be tempted to sell if you wet my appetite enough.
I have: AEM FPR, Cartech 20005, 290cc prelude injectors, and Jim's 9psi pulley.
Good luck with whatever you do!

Hmm, I'm very tempted... I thought Jim's pulleys were 8psi or does he have 9psi pulleys too? How much for the AEM FPR, Cartech 20005, 290cc prelude injectors (list prices of each)? (Note: I am a POOOR College student, hehe) I heard from some guy with a 10psi setup that I can use my JR FMU but just upgrade my injectors and AEM FPR and rail and this should be fine, is this true?
